Definitions:
Case Number - The number assigned by the Medicare Appeal System (MAS) to
the Level 2, or Level 3 appeal.
Proceeding Type - Indicates if the appeal is a Level 2 Reconsideration, Reopening,
or ALJ.
Decision Date - The date of the IRE or ALJ rendered its decision.
Decision - Indicates the type of Decision made by the IRE or ALJ.
Compliance Notice Receipt Date - The date the IRE receives notice from the
plan indicating they have effectuated the appeal.
Date Effectuated - The date indicated by the plan that they have approved/paid
for the item/service at issue in the appeal.
